2026 Detroit Region SCCA Solo School

The Detroit Region Solo School is back! This drivers school is tailored for brand new autocross drivers and those with less than two years of autocross experience, and will focus on the very basics of autocross performance driving.

There is a classroom session in the morning, that goes over the basics of how an event is run, basic solo safety information, and finally, basic performance driving concepts. The afternoon session consist of practicing the basic performance driving concepts.

Pricing for the Solo School are as follows:

SCCA members, $95
Non-SCCA members, $120

There is a cap of 30 students for the Solo School. Those who aren't among the first 30 to register will be placed on the wait list. If students drop out, people on the wait list will be put on the student roster in the order that they appeared on the wait list.

Saturday Classroom and driving sessions

Student Check-in: 7:30
Morning Classroom session: 8 - 9:00 am
Instructor Check-in: 8:30 am
Registration/Tech: 9:00 am
Course setup: 10:00 am
Afternoon Classroom Session: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
- Working Lunch: 11:30 am (pizza and water will be provided)
Course walk 12:30 pm
Drivers Meeting: Immediately following Course walk
Afternoon Driving Session: 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Wrap up: 5:45 pm
End by 6:00 pm

We run rain or shine on Saturday, so bring appropriate clothing!
